Blue Sentry' showcases vibrant blue, needle-like new growth that transitions to a powdery blue hue, accentuated by a slender yellow edge. Its growth rate is slow, reaching heights of over 10 feet as it matures, but more commonly staying in the range of 4 to 5 feet. As it gains maturity, an exquisite stalk, standing 5 to 6 feet tall, adorned with creamy white bell-shaped flowers, emerges above the foliage. This variety thrives in full sun and well-drained, alkaline soils, although it displays tolerance for a range of conditions. Once established, it is remarkably drought-resistant; however, providing some additional summer watering can enhance its display. 'Blue Sentry' is welcoming to pollinators and unattractive to wildlife.
