A dwarf cultivar of a North American midwestern native plant related to asters. Needle-like, silver-frosted deep green foliage forms a compact, vase-shaped mound with sturdy stems. In late summer, the plant becomes topped with clusters of tiny purple flowers that attract bees and butterflies.
