Bald Cypress

A majestic conifer native to the Midwest, is frequently planted in clusters within parks, spacious areas, along streets, and encircling lakes. In a departure from the usual evergreens, this tree annually sheds its needles in winter, replacing them with fresh growth in spring. Its distinctive feature lies in the russet-red hue of its delicate needles during the fall season. This tree stands as a testament to its resilience and adaptability, thriving in diverse soil conditions, whether dry, wet, or marshy.
