Attractive white fruits last into winter providing food for wildlife, but should not be eaten by humans or pets. Soft pink, bell-shaped flowers in summer attract hummingbirds and bees. Upright habit and dense blue-green foliage make a great hedge or border. Tolerates drought, urban environments, shade (though best fruiting will occur in full sun), heat, and poor or dry soils. Will not thrive in constantly wet conditions. Great for erosion control, pollinator gardens, and native areas.
