Greene or Western Mountain Ash
Currently unavailable
Varying in size dependent upon location and conditions, this shrub boasts clouds of white flowers from late spring to early summer. Clusters of vibrant red berries form in fall and are edible, but taste best after a freeze. Foliage is a glossy green through summer and turns a peachy golden yellow in fall, contrasting nicely with the berries. Native to mountainsides from the Cascades south into the Rocky Mountains where wildlife like birds eat the fruits and large animals like moose and elk eat the foliage and twigs.
