Deciduous, rounded shrub with a dense, twiggy appearance. Lobed green leaves have a yellow fall color. Small greenish yellow flowers appear in mid-spring, and are followed by orange-scarlet berries. Currants are more sparse and smaller than on cultivars selected for their fruits, but they are edible and sweet with low acid.
