Quick answers
Will Solomon's Seal grow in Utah and the Intermountain West?
It is rated hardy to USDA zone 4, so it suits sites in zone 4 or warmer, which covers most of the region. The Salt Lake Valley floor is mostly zone 7; benches, mountain valleys and high plains in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado and Wyoming are colder, often zones 3–6, so check the zone for your site.
