Shrub-sized, low growing evergreen conifer. Pungent needles are silvery blue held on sprawling branches; the innermost or oldest needles are dark green. The mature form of 'Procumbens' is a spreading mass of branches. Slow-growing, normally allowed to sprawl as a billowy groundcover. Can withstand drought, pollution, some salt and wind. It's foliage and form is perhaps best when draping around rocks on a steep incline or atop a retaining wall.
