In stock · from $427.99
This tree boasts a dignified presence, characterized by a straight trunk and a rounded crown, which is more pyramidal when it's young. It typically reaches heights of 30-50 feet but can occasionally grow as tall as 90 feet. While it is primarily dioecious, with separate male and female trees, each tree often produces some perfect flowers. In spring, it bears small, greenish-white flowers on long stalks, with female flowers in sparse clusters and male flowers in dense heads. Although not particularly showy, these flowers serve as an excellent nectar source for bees.
