A compact form with burgundy blooms. Petals are darker on the outer side and softer on the interior but still retaining a pink-purple rather than a pale pink-white compared to other similarly colored Magnolias. May produce occasional flowers after its initial spring bloom in some climates. Cold dry winds and late frosts may damage buds. Will not tolerate standing water.
