Juniper
In stock · from $141.99
Primarily cultivated for Christmas trees and as shelterbelts, it also offers ornamental value in various cultivated varieties. Its juicy berries are a vital food source for wildlife, attracting birds and small mammals, and providing nesting material and cover. Fragrant foliage attracts birds and butterflies, and it serves as a larval host for the Olive butterfly. Additionally, the plant's aromatic wood yields cedar oil used in medicine and perfumes, while the heartwood was historically used for pencils.
