The prominent feature of White Wedding is the large, conical clusters of pure white, sterile flowers. Unlike many hydrangeas, its blooms maintain their crisp white color and do not change with the soil's pH. The blooms are long-lasting, appearing from summer into fall. It has strong stems that carry the large flower heads without flopping. This is a low-maintenance shrub. It blooms on new wood, so any necessary pruning should be done in late winter or early spring. Deadheading spent flowers can encourage more blooms.
