This compact hydrangea offers big color all summer! One of few Big Leaf Hydrangea to bloom on old and new wood. Hardy to zone 4. Flower buds start bright green and burst into a vibrant ball of raspberry-red. Reported to be wilt resistant. Big Leaf Hydrangea do best in moist, well drained, acidic soils and can require special care in Utah. Consider Panicle Hydrangeas as an easier to grow alternative.
