6–7-inch, cup-shaped, pure white flowers appear from mid-summer into early fall. They stand at high contrast with their dark nearly black green foliage. The petals have a subtle pink blush on their backs and lack the traditional red eye found in many hibiscus varieties. The plant has a compact, rounded, and sturdy mounding habit. Cut back old stems to the ground in late winter or early spring before new growth appears.
