More branches than the species makes this tree a great option for shade. New foliage appears a light brown caramel color in spring, turns green for the summer and yellow for fall. Strong branches resist breaking in harsh winds. This male cultivar produced no seed pods in trials. Prefers moist soils and can tolerate wet conditions and urban environments.
