Bi-Color Barrenwort Fairywings
Currently unavailable
Heart-shaped leaves emerge flushed with red in the spring before maturing to light green. Spring brings stalks of tiny, creamy yellow flowers. Fall color is typically noticeable reds and oranges. Quickly spreads by rhizomes, creating a nice groundcover. Tolerates dry shade well and easily competes with thirsty tree roots for available water. Evergreen in some winter conditions, so provide protection from cold, dry winds.
