Dryopteris remota
Wood Fern
In stock · from $14.99
This fern prefers the shelter of moist, rich acidic soils in bright shade, shielded from the wind. It excels when massed or grouped in woodland or shade gardens and complements the shaded borders. A naturally occurring hybrid of Dryopteris affinis and Dryopteris expansa, it forms a robust and semi-evergreen clump in woodland gardens. Its lacy, light green, shaggy foliage gracefully adorns the gold-scaled stipe.
