Brings outstanding color to drier shaded areas. Best color and blooms will develop with some direct sunlight, but will still grow well in full shade. May burn in hot afternoon sun in Utah without adequate water. New growth is a vibrant orange tone, fading to green with age. Small, creamy yellow flowers bloom through summer. Fall brings nearly glowing red-orange color throughout the foliage. Perfect replacement for burning bush. Prune heavily in late winter to early spring for best form and blooms.
