Pacific Bleeding Heart
Currently unavailable
Fine textured foliage is a nice backdrop for short racemes of drooping, heart-shaped flowers in spring. Unlike many other bleeding hearts that go dormant until the next spring, this plant will simply stop blooming in summer and then bloom again in fall. Tolerates full sun in cooler locations with ample water but does best when shaded from strong afternoon sun. Does well in shaded rock gardens or as a groundcover. Does well in alkaline soils.
