Cornus kousa 'Samaritan'®
Variegated Flowering Dogwood Tree
Currently unavailable
Boasts hardy buds that withstand colder temperatures and distinctive horizontal branching. The enduring white bracts transition to a pinkish hue over a period of six weeks. The tree bears reddish, raspberry-like fruits from August to October. The Samaritan variety features creamy white leaf margins and exhibits excellent tolerance to both cold and heat. Its vibrant scarlet fall foliage appears late in the season and persists for an extended period. Optimal growth is achieved in rich soil, and for less fertile soils, amending with compost is recommended. Furthermore, Kousa Dogwoods exhibit greater resistance to drought and diseases compared to flowering varieties.
