Bubba Burgundy Desert Willow
Chilopsis linearis 'Bubba'
Burgundy Desert Willow
Currently unavailable
A more upright, tree-like form than the species. Deeper green and glossier leaves are more dense, lending to a more sophisticated look. Fragrant, showy pink to purple flowers attract hummingbirds and bees from late spring through summer. Fewer seed pods are produced, though it may still reseed. Highly drought and heat tolerant. Will not do well with overly wet or fertile soil. Will need protection from the coldest winter weather and may die back to the ground.
