Cercis chinensis 'Don Egolf'

Chinese Redbud

Currently unavailable

A tidy, compact tree or large shrub that is covered in vibrant mauve-pink blooms for weeks in early spring. After the beautiful floral display, the large heart-shaped green leaves fill in. As a sterile cultivar, this tree does not produce seed pods. Perfect as a specimen or for smaller areas. May struggle with heavy clay soils that do not drain but tolerates urban pollution well.
