Bluejoint Grass
Calamagrostis canadensis
Bluejoint Grass
In stock · from $14.99
A clump forming cool season grass with slender blue-green blades. Summer brings buff to golden seed heads. Native across much of North America, providing food for large animals like bison that feed on the blades, down to smaller animals like birds that eat the seeds. Shallow roots spread rapidly, keeping soil from eroding in wetlands or along stream banks but also require more moisture than other Calamagrostis.
