Aronia arbutifolia 'Erecta'
Upright Red Chokeberry
In stock · from $37.99
A great plant for hedges or as background to large beds or foundation plantings. Upright branches boast clusters of white flowers in spring. Rich green foliage turns bright red and orange in fall. Red berries mature shortly before leaf change and provide food for wildlife like birds and small mammals. Tolerates heavy soils, frequently wet locations, and more shade than many other fruiting shrubs, though fruit production does slow with more shade. Easily naturalizes in many areas by suckering, simply prune suckers to prevent spread.
