Threadleaf Blue Star
Amsonia hubrichtii
Threadleaf Blue Star
Currently unavailable
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best fall color occurs in full sun, but flowers generally last longer if given some afternoon shade in hot sun areas. Too much shade will leave stems flopping open. Cut back the stems by about 6" after flowering to promote a compact mound of healthy foliage. Yellow in fall.
