Amelanchier alnifolia 'Northline'
Saskatoon Serviceberry
In stock · from $45.99
Clouds of white flowers bloom in early spring before the foliage unfurls. Deep green, slightly rounded leaves become a bright array of yellow, orange, and red in fall. A self-pollinating variety that produces abundant amounts of round, dark blue berries in early summer that can be used for fresh eating but are best in preserves and baking. Flavor is similar to blueberries but will ripen earlier. If not harvested, the berries are a favorite for many birds. Remove any suckers when noticed to prevent unwanted spread.
