Ornamental Flowering Onion

Clumps of blade-like green foliage create tidy clumps. Globes of purple flowers begin blooming in late spring and last through most of summer. After blooming, the deep purple stems and dried flower heads continue to add interest and texture to the garden. Attracts butterflies and pollinators but deters deer and rabbits with a strong aroma when cut or damaged. Drought and heat tolerant. Flowers and seed heads are great for cutting.
