Medusa Ornamental Flowering Onion

Allium 'Medusa'

Ornamental Flowering Onion

Currently unavailable

The 'Medusa' ornamental onion boasts snaky, twisty leaves reminiscent of the Medusa legend. Its low mound of grey-green foliage features slightly twisted ends, while nodding buds at the tips resemble snakes before evolving into 1¾-2” rounded clusters of light amethyst purple flowers. Similar to 'Blue Eddy' in color and foliage, 'Medusa' presents a larger form. Ideal for rock or herb gardens, these charming Alliums emit an onion scent when bruised, belonging to the onion family.
