Winter Red Coral Bark Maple

Acer palmatum 'Winter Red'

Coral Bark Maple

Currently unavailable

Similar to 'Sango Kaku', but smaller. Leaves start a vibrant lime and mature to bright green for summer. Notable fall color can range from gold to orange and red. Young branches are bright, coral-red through winter. May need some winter protection. Does best with protection from harsh afternoon sun that will scorch leaves. A nice rounded habit and year round interest make this tree a wonderful specimen.
